This cost-effective 1-on-1 coaching program is offered by Will Holmes Consulting (WHC) in an effort to empower small, minority and woman-owned businesses in Maryland. Our purpose is to create jobs and strengthen communities and help business owners address their greatest challenges.

 

Why 30 Steps? Since 2006, WHC has worked with thousands of business owners helping them to find solutions to their business challenges. These 30 steps are the most commonly missed and most essential to the growth of a business. Failure to take these steps has led to reduced revenue, lack of profitability, fines, penalties, lawsuits and business failure. The 30 Steps are listed at the bottom of this page. 

Participants can choose the pace, scope and pricing of this program by choosing from the 4, 6, 8, or 12 session options.

Option One: 4 Sessions ($99)- Steps 1 through 21 (Startup to Growth Mode)
 
The 4-session option is cost effective, fast-paced and reliant on the participant to attend their 4 sessions, watch the assigned videos and work on homework and the tasks assigned by the Mentor. Over the 4 sessions, we will cover Steps 1 through 21, which guide a business from startup mode to ready to scale. We will also devote time to focusing on your greatest business challenge. This is not just for startups. If you have been in business for a number of years and are experiencing a plateau in growth, this gives you the opportunity to see what foundational steps you missed. These missed steps can be expensive in the long term and can slow down your growth. If you are a startup, these 4 sessions help you create a strong foundation for growth and allow you to plan with an understanding of what to expect. You choose the pace as it is up to you to schedule your 4 sessions.  

Option Two: 8 Sessions ($249)- Steps 1 through 21 (Startup to Growth Mode)

This is the slower-paced version of Option One. The 8-session option is cost effective, slower-paced and reliant on the participant to attend their 8 sessions, watch the assigned videos and work on homework and the tasks assigned by the Mentor. Over the 8 sessions, we will cover Steps 1 through 21, which guide a business from startup mode to ready to scale. We will also devote time to focusing on your greatest business challenge. Objectives:

  • Provide 4 to 12 coaching sessions to assist business owners in developing a cash flow projections growth plan for their business and address the greatest business challenge
  • Offer video learning sessions where participants are introduced to topics and practical information necessary for running the day-to-day operations of a growing business
  • Facilitate opportunities for participants for interaction with other participants and interaction with practitioners and subject matter experts
  • Help owners understand their pricing model, profit margins, monthly expenses and revenue and sales goals
  • Measure the learning of presented information with weekly homework assignments and a final cash flow projections presentation

Your responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and attend all 30-minute coaching sessions in your package (4, 6, 8 or 12 sessions).
  • Complete all homework as assigned by the Mentor.
  • Watch all assigned videos as assigned by Mentor.
  • Work on tasks assigned by your Mentor to address your greatest challenge. No excuses.
  • Submit your completed 12-month cash flow projections before your last session and present it during your last session.

Optional Mentor Calls:

(Not included in coaching pricing but added as a resource. Additional charges may apply.) As a benefit, we have arranged discounted coaching sessions with subject matter experts in law, accounting, business operations, marketing, human resources, strategy, finance and financial projections. Your Mentor will complete a summary of your conversation and you will receive a copy via email after your meeting.
