In recognition of the Maryland small business community’s contributions to the American economy and society, the President of the United States designates one week each year as National Small Business Week. The Maryland Small Business Week Awards have been recognizing and rewarding those amazing businesses since 1984. This year, National Small Business Week was April 28 – May 4, 2024.
This year, there were 15 award categories for the U.S .Small Business Administration [SBA] award nominations. Nominations for each award category must meet certain qualifying criteria set forth by the U.S. Small Business Administration in order to be considered.
WHC Founder Will Holmes was nominated and won the 2024 SBA Maryland Minority Small Business of the Year Award.
After winning the award, Will Holmes said, “This would not be possible without the help of my WHC Consultants and our economic development partners across the state. The combination of the right team and impactful projects is what made this award possible. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Maryland small business community.”
“Special thanks to the U.S. Small Business Administration for recognizing our work. This award motivates us to go even harder to help business owners thrive and add jobs in their communities.” – Will Holmes
