Apply for 6 Months of Free Business Advice by JHU Carey MBAs

WHC has partnered with the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School to connect top MBA students with small businesses and non-profit organizations for 6 months of pro-bono (free) business strategy consulting from October 2019 to April 2020.

Overview
Together, non-profits, small businesses and JHU MBA students will discuss and diagnose a critical challenge facing the business or organization, then scope out suggestions for initiatives to help address and overcome the issue. The MBA students will not implement the suggested solutions. This program is designed to help business owners identify challenges and work with a team of sharp MBA students to identify possible solutions that will help the business to grow. It is up to the Business Owner/ Non-Profit Leader to implement the recommendations.

WHC will help identify the non-profits and growing companies to work with MBA students based on organizational needs and MBA student skill sets. Additionally, WHC will mentor the MBA students to assist with the development of growth solutions to be presented to the participating businesses and non-profits.

NOTE: Not all non-profits or small businesses who apply will be chosen. Only a select group will be chosen based on their needs and how those needs match up with the skill sets of the MBA students. There will be a few events that will require your attendance, but most interactions will be via phone or computer. If selected, we will send you the dates of planned events. There is no cost to be in this program. Additionally, the MBA students are not interns. They are advisors.

Earlier in the year we hosted a one day program called a “Scope A Thon” where we connected local businesses and JHU Carey MBA students to identify solutions to business challenges. It was a high energy and highly effective event! Here is short video:
