Fifth, here are some updates for Business Owners on the Restaurant Relief Fund:
- Starting April 30th at 9am, businesses can register for the RRF fund on the SBA application portal: https://restaurants.sba.gov/requests/borrower/login/?next=/
- Starting Monday (May 3) at 12pm, the portal will begin accepting applications.
- During the first three weeks the portal is open, SBA will accept applications from all eligible applicants, but only process and fund priority group applications.
- Priority groups are: Eligible businesses (restaurants, bars, food trucks, breweries) owned by women, veterans, socially/economically disadvantaged groups (generally read as owners of color).
- In addition to applying through SBA, businesses can apply through their Point of Sale (POS) vendors, including Square and Toast: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7432-important-restaurant-revitalization-fund-updates-for-square-sellers and https://pos.toasttab.com/blog/on-the-line/coronavirus-stimulus-package-restaurants.
