We are looking for Partners in the community who can refer qualified applicants to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in Baltimore. We want Partners who work with Business Owners who meet the following qualifications:
- 2 or more years in Business
- 2 or more Employees
- At least $100,000 in Annual Revenue

About the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program
Led by Co-Chairs Warren Buffett, Michael R. Bloomberg and Dr. Michael Porter, a public private partnership to unlock the growth and job creation potential of small business owners across the United States. There are 3 pillars of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Businesses program:
- Business & Management Education- Designed by Babson College, the #1 Entrepreneurship program in the United States
- Preparation for Access to Capital- This program gives Business Owners the information they need to build a stable company that is attractive to lenders and investors
- Business Support Services via Partnerships- If Business Owners don’t qualify now, we introduce them to local partners who can help them qualify in the future. When Business Owners qualify and complete the program, we have built a local network of attorneys, consultants, bankers, investors, lenders, accountants and community partners who are ready to support their growth.

- Added Jobs
- Increased Revenue
- Having a Positive Impact on the Community
The premise of this initiative is, if we can identify companies that have been doing well, give them the info they need to identify their challenges and build a solid plan for growth, they will increase revenue and hire more people. This will reduce joblessness, increase the tax base, create more stable neighborhoods and strengthen the local economy.

Here in Maryland, the Goldman Sachs program is funded by Goldman Sachs and the Bloomberg Philanthropies and is facilitated by Morgan State University, Johns Hopkins University and the Community College of Baltimore County. Will Holmes of WHC is contracted to promote the benefits of this highly effective program to business owners and potential partners in Maryland.
