Here are 10 things you should know:

First, I’d like to thank Human Resources Attorney and Chamber Member, Veronica Yu Welsh for her participation on last week’s panel for Baltimore Means Business. Her insight helped me to see the need to update my subcontractor agreements. I am thankful for her guidance. Please connect with Veronica on LinkedIn. Third, Chamber Member, Baltimore Community Lending is hiring a Loan Officer for the Real Estate Division. Qualified candidates share BCL’s mission to revitalize and strengthen underserved neighborhoods, Candidates must have experience with commercial lending and community development, and are prepared to review and analyze loan applications while working closely with applicants. Fourth, Chamber Member, Brenda Kwateng is offering a Scaled Agile Framework course called “Leading SAFe – Thriving in the digital age with Business Agility.” This course will provide you insight into mastering Business Agility in order to thrive in the competitive market. The guidelines have changed over the last few months, so please make certain you are making an informed decision. Ninth, Loyola University has invited me to participate on a panel in March as a part of their “Building a Better World Through Business” series. This annual event celebrates the ways that businesses create sustainable economic and social development in their communities. The 2021 event series will be held virtually throughout March. All events are free and open to Loyola students, faculty, staff, alumni, the Baltimore community, and friends of the University. Registration is required for all events.

Tenth, the Baltimore Means Business program is accepting applicants earning under $75k for their May 2021 cohort. The deadline to apply is April 12th! Apply at www.baltimoremeans.business. Or, schedule a call to learn about this free program before you apply.
