Weekly Message from the Chair, February 3, 2020

Message #6- 2/03/20

Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce Members,

Summary: In this message, I highlight upcoming events, offers from Members, procurement opportunities,  lending opportunities and info you can use to make better business decisions. Please share this weekly message with 10 people who will benefit!

First, thank you to the 101 Members and potential Members who scheduled calls with me in January. I was hoping you would respond and you did! Thank you! Wow!

Overall, Members said they wanted 4 things:

  • A sense of community
  • An inexpensive way to market their businesses
  • Connections to resources and Baltimore leadership
  • A few new customers

So, these are opportunities we will work to provide in 2020. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. If you have feedback, an idea or want to get more involved, you can always schedule a call with me at https://whc.as.me/baltimorechamber.

Special recognition to Members, Nancy Poznak of BotaniCuisine, Dr. Rhonda Farrell of Global Innovation Strategies and Anne Hilb of Graymake Consulting. Your insight and opinions were timely and incredibly helpful in creating the strategy for 2020. I appreciate you!

Second, our next General Body Meeting is this Thursday, February 6th at Courtyard McHenry Row. Our Business After Dark networking event is Thursday, February 13th at Full Tilt Brewing. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, please do so ASAP on our website, www.baltimorecitychamber.org.

Third, I am asking all Members to do business with other Chamber Members. If every Chamber Member makes purchases from another Member first, we’d have our own market. This simple change in how you make purchases will make us a stronger, more independent and more influential organization. All will benefit. In this message, I have listed special offers from Members. Please take advantage.

Fourth, each week, I plan to use this message to connect you with opportunities, invitations and information that you will hopefully find valuable. So, here you go:
