Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses
WHC supports the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program with digital marketing and promotions to established business owners in Maryland. The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program is a free, 15 week online program for business owners earning over $75,000 annually. The program covers topics including, leadership, human resources, marketing and selling, financial documents and metrics, access to capital, operations and technology, processes and procedures and overall growth strategy. The next class starts in September.
Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School
Community Consulting Lab (CCL)
WHC supports the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School through the Office of Experiential Learning’s Community Consulting Lab. This program is a free, 8 week online program, led by Will Holmes, designed to connect business owners with essential information to grow their businesses. Additionally, a team of MBA students will help business owners create a customized growth strategy. Deadline to apply is 2/11/21. This program starts in February.
Morgan State University Earl Graves School of Business
Baltimore Means Business (BMB)
WHC developed the curriculum and supports the Morgan State University Earl Graves School of Business, Baltimore Means Business program. BMB is a free, 7 week online program for businesses in the DMV earning under $75K annually who want to increase revenue, add jobs and have a more positive impact on their communities. Deadline to apply is 4/1/21. This program starts in May.
Anne Arundel County Economic Development
Inclusive Ventures Program
WHC developed the curriculum and facilitates the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Inclusive Ventures Program. IVP is a free, 7 week, online program, that teaches core business and financial concepts and brings Subject Matter Experts to contribute as panelists. The purpose is to teach business owners how to scale and increase revenue so they can create jobs in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This is for woman-owned and minority businesses located in Anne Arundel County. Deadline to apply is 2/5/21. This program starts in March. Graduates receive a $5k grant.
