Weekly Message From The Chair, May 18, 2020

 Message #21- 5/18/20

Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce Members and Friends,

Summary: In this message, I highlight: events and resources; contract opportunities; funding opportunities; health care options; job opportunities; offers from Members and info you can use to make better business decisions. Please share this weekly message with 10 people who will benefit. Learn more about us at www.baltimorecitychamber.org.

First, I appreciate all the emails sent and social media comments made last week! All your birthday wishes meant a lot! Thank you! If we are not already connected on social media, let’s connect on Facebook (Chamber / Me) and LinkedIn (Chamber / Me) so you can stay informed regarding new resources in between these weekly messages.

Second, thank you to everyone who joined us for our virtual Happy Hour last Thursday. Attendees wore their logos, introduced themselves to the group and exchanged contact info with those interested in doing business. Plus, we did a toast every 15 minutes. It was fun and a great way to stay connected when networking opportunities are harder to come by. We have virtual Happy Hours every 2nd Thursday evening, General Membership Meetings every 1st Thursday, and training sessions throughout the month with Anne Hilb at Graymake and Allan Hirsh at Allan Hirsh Advisors. Make sure to learn more in the events section below.

Third, the Baltimore Together fund has stopped taking grant applications. The state grants and loans are closed and there are talks of some possible additional stimulus money from the federal government. But, for those seeking resources now, we are having a webinar this week to discuss how you can prepare for capital in this economy. Click here to register.

Fourth, I am happy to report that the City Chamber is still growing. If you want to be a member, first, think about what you want the Chamber to do for you and then schedule a call with me to discuss how we can make that happen.

Keep reading for this week’s Opportunities, Events and Information!
